 Mikiana bowed her head, hiding her face from Dante. “No…you heard me well enough, Dante, please don’t make me repeat it…”

 “Miks…please?” He leaned towards her, inching one of his hands closer to hers.

 “I’m pregnant.” She mumbled, keeping her face hidden underneath her hair.

 Dante smiled softly. “Mikiana…that’s great. Why are you upset?”

 Mikiana frowned and raised her head ever so slightly. “What? You’re not mad? You’re not going to leave me?”

 “Why would I be mad? Mikiana, you being pregnant isn’t going to make me angry. In fact, I’m happy.” He smiled and took her hand. “We can be a family, Miks. That’s a good thing.”

 Mikiana felt a smile tugging at her lips slightly but she ended up bowing her head again and sighing. “But…you already have your family. You have Jezebell…and your sons, Jay and Rhydian.”

 “I don’t have Jezebell. Not anymore. I never really did have her. Nor want her. I have you Miks.” He sighed. “I’ll still be there for Jay and Rhydian, it would be cruel to disappear out of their lives. But Jezebell...it’s finally time to leave her for good.”

 Mikiana looked up at him and blinked. “So…wait, I’m not just the ‘other woman’ now?”

 Dante rolled his eyes. “Miks. You’ve never been the ‘other woman’. You’ve been MY woman.” He grinned. “I think Jezebell’s known our marriage was going nowhere, it hasn’t since the start. I’ll be glad to finally settle down with someone I WANT to settle down with.” He gently placed a hand over her stomach. “And I’ll be there to help you with the baby too. Or babies. We’ll be a small family, and we can keep to ourselves.”

 Mikiana groaned. “Oh god, I never planned on becoming a mother.” She blinked at Dante, who smiled reassuringly at her. “But…with you here, I guess it won’t be too bad. I suppose you’ll be moving in here soon, then.”

 “I definitely will, if you don’t mind the company.” He chuckled. “I’ll tell Jezebell tonight. Jay and Rhydian are sleeping over at their friend’s house. Just a warning, if I turn up at your door with my suitcase, it means she threw me out then and there.”

 “I wouldn’t put it past her.” Mikiana muttered. “I don’t want her interfering throughout my pregnancy Dante. And I don’t want her around me or any child of mine. Jay and Rhydian, fine, but not Jezebell.”

 “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of Jezebell.” He smiled and leaned in to kiss Mikiana gently. “Seriously, don’t worry. Just relax and chill out. Don’t get too stressed. I’ll be here with you 24/7 soon enough, and I’m going to spoil you like crazy.”
